Levigature (Smoothings) is an immaginary journey, a guitar solo composed by the
musician Daniele Gherrino. It is based on the inner exploration of mutability that is
typical of the human being.
The music wants to describe the changing from a condition of apparent quietness to a
situation characterized by adverse events. The sound follows this path that is based on
a constant change that underlines these transformations through dramaturgical and
musical
elements.
In Levigature there is the realization of human sufferings that are overcome thanks to
the acceptation of this condition itself. The story ends up in a plea for help that in
conclusion can be considered as a sort of personal conquer and improvement. This process is
represented by the track Isole (Islands). It is a metaphorical wandering characterized by
different stages and an introspective journey in which one can ricover energy in order to face
challenges of life.


Levigature è un viaggio sonoro immaginario, musicato in chiave solista dal chitarrista Daniele Gherrino e basato sull’esplorazione introspettiva della mutevolezza, a volte incontrollata, all’interno della condizione psicologica umana.
La musica vuole rappresentare il processo per cui una eventuale condizione di apparente serenità venga mutata da eventi avversi che lentamente la “levigano”, togliendo spazio al benessere psichico. L’impianto narrativo della performance sonora non è incentrato su ciò che si può dunque definire “malessere psichico”, quanto sul processo per cui da una condizione pur apparentemente stabile si arrivi al suo contrario. Il suono segue quindi questo percorso basato sul mutamento costante, sottolineando passaggi e trasformazioni attraverso elementi drammaturgici-musicali.
In Levigature avviene una presa di consapevolezza della condizione di sofferenza che si risolve in una totale accettazione di sé e dei propri limiti in quanto Persona. In tal senso la narrazione termina con una serena e quanto mai cosciente richiesta di aiuto, intesa non come segno di debolezza ma come momento di elevata lucidità, anelito alla quiete e miglioramento personale. Ciò viene rappresentato in Isole come una peregrinazione in cui l’Individuo recupera, attraverso diverse tappe di un viaggio introspettivo, le proprie energie per poter affrontare sotto nuovi presupposti le sfide che la vita gli offre.
